One of the students from JC1 had done a great job in writing an essay related to the use of social networking. The essay will be uploaded soon.
Others such as Jeffry has shown tremendous improvement in their essay writing.
The standards for Advanced Subsidiary Level for General Paper is high and therefore it will take some time before the students will be able to master the essentials in producing a great essay. Therefore, those who are trying their best to master the General Paper essay writing processes should take the frequent fail marks as part of the learning process and not to be disheartened.
PRACTICE IS KEY TO SUCCESS IN GENERAL PAPER
As Bruce Lee, the famous Chinese martial artist with the fastest kick in the world once said:
"I fear not the man who has practiced 10,000 kicks once, but I fear the man who has practiced one kick 10,000 times." Bruce Lee, founder of Jeet Kune Do
"One becomes a beginner after one thousand days of training and an expert after ten thousand days of practice."
Mas Oyama, founder of Kyokushinkai Karate-do
For General Paper, the same principle applies. One need to sit down and practice the art and science of using PEEL in order to write good paragraphs. Practice writing PEEL one thousand times and Oyama will call you a beginner. But practice it for ten thousand times and you will be a master of using the technique and on the way to be a master writer.
